Delaware : Geographical Facts

Major part of Delaware lies within the Atlantic Coastal Plain except the portion above Christina River which is part of Piedmont Plateau. The highest elevation of Delaware is on Ebright Road, New Castle County at a height of 448 ft (137 m). Delaware's mean elevation, 60 ft (18 m), is the lowest in the US. Among the rivers in Delaware, Nanticoke, Choptank, and Pocomoke flow westward into Chesapeake Bay while Christina, Appoquinimink, Leipsic, St. Jones, Murderkill, Mispillion, Broadkill, and Indian flow into Delaware Bay.
