Delaware is located on the eastern seaboard of the US. It is surrounded by Pennsylvania on the north, by New Jersey and Atlantic Ocean on the east, and on the south and west by Maryland. It is 49th in size covering a total area of 2,044 sq mi of which 1,932 sq mi consist of land and 112 sq mi of inland water. The state’s geographic center is Kent County and the capital is Dover.
